The Company

A leading waste management company currently managing a range of outsourced services on behalf of local authority clients including recycling, refuse collection, street cleansing, transfer stations and HWRC facilities. The organisation is seeking an individual with operational management expertise who can bring their experience, insight and understanding to the bid and development team. A continuing flow of attractive opportunities has created the need for this position.

The Role

Report to the Senior Project Manager, contribute to tender submissions from bid preparation, written response documents and negotiation into mobilisation. 

Analyse and understand client’s requirements through examining tender documents and, attending bid meetings with the client authority.  

In conjunction with members of the bid and operations team devise and build up solutions which improve existing service delivery.  

Project manage written submission documents, ensure they articulate and convey the clients goals and aspirations.

The Person

Operational or bid management experience from a contract based service provider or, authority providing in-house services.  

Backgrounds of interest include; waste management – municipal, commercial and industrial, street scene services including parks and grounds maintenance. Highways and street lighting, housing/ property maintenance and accessible transport services.  

Experienced at analysing data and producing written documentation which conveys compelling solutions.  

Excellent communicator both orally and in writing. Effective project management and team working skills. Able to programme manage or participate in other bids, as required.
